No matter what path in life a woman choses to take, there comes a time when she will enter that reflective stage and come to realize that along that path, no matter how seemingly unremarkable it was, she has curated a remarkable collection of stories.
But Wit & Wisdom isn’t just about the past. It is also about the future - the next leg of our journey. And most important - it is about TODAY!
Betty White, who lived to be 100, said the secret to her long life is that she always stayed curious. Jane Fonda says she stays involved. Dick Van Dyke says he never stops moving or experiencing new things. Mel Brooks says "keep laughing!”.
It is important to share our stories for ourselves because they remind us of who we are, where we have been, and how we got here. But we also share them because they serve to guide, cajole, support, inspire, encourage, empathize and yes, entertain other women as we navigate this uncharted territory of old age - together.
Stories create community. And these stories need to be shared!
Please join us!
Stay involved * Stay curious * Stay active * Keep learning

Why Did I Create Wit & Wisdom?
First and foremost, because I love stories.
When I was in the 6th or 7th Grade, I dreamed of being a journalist. I mean, how fun would that have been? In the 60's there was no shortage of fascinating stories. Watching the 5:00 news, I thought those people had the best jobs - going to fascinating places, meeting fascinating people (and wearing great clothes). I was riveted!
Life had other plans, however, and instead, I chose to be a Coddiwompler. And I believe it's been more fun than reporting the news.
I have found ways over the years to feed my passion - always with the intent of helping and connecting women, whether it was to help them find a job; navigate professional or personal paths, and now - Wit & Wisdom.
I’ve been working since I was 16, doing everything from retail to recruiting to sales to event planning. That’s 50 years! And as I’ve become the “elder” in my workplace, I am beginning to see, more & more, that the younger people around me, sometimes without realizing it, are treating me as if I was always this grey haired old lady - not that there's anything wrong with that!
But when it happens, I just want to scream: ”I WASN’T BORN THIS WAY, YA KNOW!”
I have been a kid, a daughter, a sister, a girlfriend, a student, a friend, a wife, a working Mom, an entrepreneur, unemployed, and everything in between. I was born in the 50's; I was a child in the 60's; went through high school in the 70's; "grew up" for real in the 80's; had 2 babies in the 90's; empty nested in the aughts; and now in 2026, continuing the adventure.
These young people don’t mean any harm. As a matter of fact, I am guilty of it myself. Now and then I'll meet someone in my age group, and assume this or that about them, and then when I sit down and really talk to them, I am often blown away by the stories they carry with them, stories that have often faded with time - stories of accomplishments, failures, adventures - stories that paved the path to who they are now.
And some stories are simply hilarious!
These stories can’t be allowed to fade into oblivion. Join me! Let's bring them out, dust them off, and HEAR THEM!
